Trio Completes Two Construction Management Projects in the First Half of 2021

Published August 17, 2021

GLASTONBURY, CT – AUGUST 2021, Trio Properties, LLC announces the completion of two construction management projects; the renovation of The Novella’s first floor lobby located in New Haven, CT, and the unit-fit out of Connecticut Green Bank’s new corporate headquarters in downtown Harford, CT.

The Novella is a 136-unit, luxury, mid-rise community located in the heart of downtown New Haven. Working directly with the building owners, Trio was able to successfully manage a $350 thousand-dollar first floor lobby renovation. Construction included a complete redesign, new flooring, the addition of a floating wooden ceiling feature, an addition of a package room, and an exciting update to the look and feel for guests entering the building.  Post-renovation, the lobby features improved functionality in a warm and welcoming environment that encourages co-working and mingling in every corner.

In April of 2021, the Connecticut Green Bank relocated its headquarters from Rocky Hill, CT to the Atlantic Works commercial office community in downtown Hartford, CT. Built in 1903, Atlantic Works is currently home to a non-profit center and adjacent to Capewell Lofts, a luxury, loft-style apartment building. This new space allows the Connecticut Green Bank to operate in a building that represents the values of its mission while providing an opportunity to work with the City of Hartford. The $600 thousand dollar fit out of the new space included completely reimagining a former architect’s office, featuring murals by local artists, an executive offices wing, multiple conference spaces, and the installation of electric vehicle charging stations.  When visitors enter the new ten thousand square foot location, they are immediately taken back by the cohesive unification of modern conveniences and 120-years of history.

“We are proud of both renovations and the value they add for our clients and tenants,” said Jeremy Browning, Managing Director for Trio Properties. “Each client approached the renovations differently and with a specific result in mind and in both cases, we were able to hit the mark. The Novella project was a 12-week, undertaking that was designed by Beinfield Architecture of Norwalk, CT, who also handled the interior design. Papa John Construction, also of Norwalk, was the general contractor. The fit-out for the Connecticut Green Bank lasted six months and was designed by Tecton Architects of Hartford, CT.  Tecton was coincidentally the former tenant of the space.  PAC Group of Torrington, CT was the general contractor.  Trio is grateful to work with such a skilled group of Connecticut based professionals and to see these two projects come to fruition. We’re looking forward to managing many more construction projects in the future.”
